Right here waiting
One thing I have noticed amongst some of my coaching clients is their tendency to sit back and wait for things to come to them. So many people say they believe in fate and that if it is meant to be, whatever it may be, it will be. Perhaps some of you share this thought? I love this idea of 'fate'. How great would it be to just hope for something and to have it transpire? Great! Realistic? Afraid not! As Camelot's lottery advert states "You have to be in it to win it". The fact is that people who get what they want for life do their bit and try and meet fate, luck, whatever you call it, at least halfway. If they want a new job they apply for advertised jobs, contact companies that they would like to work for speculatively, tell their friends what sort of job they are looking for in case they hear of anything, etc. So a couple of questions for you this week. What are you hoping that fate will drop in your lap? A better job? More happiness? Your dream car? More importantly, what are you going to do about getting it? Too often in life people say that they are unlucky and never get what they want but if you ask them what they have actually done to try and get it, it is usually very little. Quite often they have done something once or twice e.g. been for an interview, not got the desired and therefore given up. You can always tell how much people want something by how much they have done to try and get it. If you really want something badly enough you won't stop trying to get it until you have succeeded. If you try you have at least a 50% chance of getting what you want. If you don't try you have absolutely no chance. Are you ready to accept that you will NEVER get what you want? If you are, fine, you can stop right here but if you are not, you know what you have to do...... To find out more about how I can support and motivate you to achieve your dreams contact me now.
